Role Overview
As a Paint Protection Film Installer II at Simple Details, you will perform advanced and complex film installations with exceptional craftsmanship and precision. Core Responsibilities
Independently install paint protection film on various vehicle panels including full fronts, doors, bumpers, and rear quarters with minimal supervision.
Lead full-vehicle and complex film installations, ensuring consistently flawless finishes.
Mentor and train Level I installers, providing guidance and direct support.
Prepare vehicle surfaces meticulously, including cleaning and decontamination prior to installation.
Follow all company SOPs precisely to maintain quality consistency.
Conduct thorough quality control inspections of your own work and that of junior team members.
Collaborate with detailing, ceramic coating, and other departments to optimize job flow and timely completion.
Maintain a clean, organized work environment and adhere to safety best practices.
Expected Results (KPIs)
Quality Metrics
Installation defect rate below 1.5%.
Rework rate below 0.5%.
Edge finishing achieving 99% or higher quality rating.
No more than two contaminants per installed panel.
Efficiency Metrics
97% or higher on-time job completion rate.
Minimized material waste and variance as tracked via DAP system.
Consistently meet or improve benchmark installation times.
Workload Expectations
At least six full front installations on average per week or workload equivalent (e.g., one full vehicle wrap plus three full front installs).
Customer Satisfaction
Maintain average customer satisfaction score of 4.7 stars or higher.
Positive client feedback and effective issue resolution.
Sustain a high Net Promoter Score (NPS).
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of professional experience in paint protection film installation.
Proficient in performing full front and complex PPF installations independently.
Demonstrated ability to train and mentor junior installers.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to executing work to stringent standards.
Physically able to stand for extended periods, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Basic mechanical aptitude and proficient use of hand tools.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Willingness and availability to work full-time on-site in Virginia Beach, VA.
